Foundation partners with four leading scientific institutions; first 1,000 pilot participants to be recruited online.

The BC Medical Advancement Foundation today announced a new strategic collaboration with four internationally recognized medical and scientific institutions—the Watson Research Center, the Cambridge Medical Research Council, the Carl Sagan Science Institute, and the Mayo Research Institute—to jointly launch the “BC Global Healthcare Investment Initiative.”

The foundation confirmed that the first 1,000 participants will be admitted through an online recruitment process and will form the pilot cohort of the program. The initiative will address multiple areas, including precision healthcare models, value-based medical research trends, and emerging AI applications in medicine.

A spokesperson for the foundation noted that the initiative “is not simply an investment effort. It represents a major step in advancing global medical innovation and is a core component of our strategic roadmap for the next decade.”

Early-Phase Strategic Deployment Underway

During a media briefing, James Carter, Chief Strategy Officer of the BC Medical Advancement Foundation, shared additional details about the organization’s broader rollout.

“In April, we began our preliminary preparations across the Americas,” Carter said. “We have already established WhatsApp-based online communities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada to maintain active engagement with regional stakeholders.”

Media Q&A

Reporter Question:
“Following the Asia-Pacific pilot launch, what will be the next strategic priority for the BC Healthcare Fund? Is there a more detailed implementation plan you can share?”

James Carter:
“In September, we expanded our WhatsApp online communities. These groups will serve as important channels for identifying and supporting our first generation of high-potential participants. Active, real-time communication allows us to better understand their needs and provide more personalized research support.”

Carter added, “As for the detailed operational plan, it remains confidential at this stage. When the timing is appropriate, we intend to present the full strategy and program structure in a single, complete release. This ensures every component is fully evaluated and capable of delivering real value to our users.”

He stressed that the BC Healthcare Fund is “not only a medical initiative but also a significant step in the foundation’s global strategy. We will continue strengthening collaborations with leading medical institutions and advancing innovative, research-driven healthcare programs.”
